Amir Ezati

Amir Ezati,

BSc., CSC® Wealth Advisor Associate

“There is no feeling in numbers.”

Amir was doing a university co-op placement with a major Canadian bank when the epiphany hit. In prior roles, his work had been purely analytical. But now he was working on the wealth management side – with clients – and he realized the truth of the situation: he is exceptionally good at mathematics and wants to help people at the very same time.

“What resonates most with me in Harp’s brand foundation,” says Amir, “is his core purpose: There is nothing better in the world than helping someone achieve something.”

Amir credits his father, a banker in the family’s native Iran, for shaping his analytical and mathematical instincts. And it was witnessing his birth country’s decline – the result of a series of decisions that eroded the prosperity of its people – that fuelled Amir’s determination to help others.

He took a prominent early step by joining the Thompson Rivers University Student Investment Fund as an Investment Analyst, working on valuation models and macroeconomic analysis for a fund supporting student scholarships.

This was during his studies for a post-graduate diploma in finance at TRU – from which he graduated with distinction. Amir then moved from Kamloops to Victoria to work in a full-time role onboarding our clients, helping them thoughtfully structure their portfolios and navigate investment strategies and account decisions. To help deliver on our brand promise of Cross-border and beyond®, Amir is licensed on both the Canadian and US sides with the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Series 7.

Amir – a gym afficionado, student of global macroeconomics and creator of new tastes in the kitchen – uses a metaphor from his fandom of soccer to sum up the deep caring he brings to client and personal relationships alike: “Whoever I am with, I always think of us a team.”
